Porter Caesar
Porter D. Caesar II, CFRE, has specialized in fundraising counsel to non-profits since 1997, after 30 years of experience in education as headmaster, administrator, facilitator and fundraiser. “Pete” provides clients with comprehensive strategic and capital campaign counsel including strategic planning, institutional counsel, financial planning and internal assessments. His professional expertise includes administrative management; development and public relations; supervision and evaluation; strategic planning; problem solving; team building; financial management; human resources; training for professionals and volunteers; and written and oral communication. He brings special expertise in education and youth agencies, and is a frequent presenter at workshops and conferences for non-profit professionals and volunteers.
Prior to launching Porter Caesar LLC in early 2009, Pete served as executive vice president of a fundraising consulting firm based in Portland, Maine. Before that, he served as academic dean of Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro NH) and as headmaster of Providence Country Day School (RI). His career has focused on admissions and financial aid, long-range planning, fund raising, and curriculum development.
Porter serves on the Lakes Region Advisory Board of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. He is the immediate past president of CONFR, the Council on Fundraising, a not-for-profit education and support organization for development professionals representing over 500 non-profit professionals from over 200 non-profits in New Hampshire. He is also a life trustee and former president of the board of Camp Agawam in Raymond, Maine. Pete is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a M.Ed. degree in Curriculum & Supervision from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE); CFRE is the only internationally-recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives.
Pete and his wife Susan are long-time residents of Wolfeboro, NH, near their two daughters and their growing families.
